    Art & craft

    by  • March 28, 2014 • Craft, Craze • 0 Comments

We love stumbling across unique craft makers and Zeena Shah, with her simple folksy, Scandi-inspired style, has certainly caught our eye. Her hand silk-screen printed cushions (and other textiles and homewares) made in her East London studio are sure to bring character and colour into your home. And this chirpy cushion, A Little Birdie Called Fred, £25, will be perfect perched in a child’s bedroom. He was designed using a hand-cut paper stencil, is made from linen and measures 35cm x 25cm. We fancy collecting the whole brood.

Zeena also runs craft workshops with museums and from her own studio. Visit Zeena Shah for more details.

    Zig-zag craze

Smart chevrons are cropping up everywhere at the moment, so we’ve tracked down our favourite designs on cushions. Simplistic and bold, they’ll add a grown-up statement to your sofa or armchair. For a softer look, choose pastel shades or even a super, super-imposed bird.

    Shapely style

    by  • March 5, 2014 • Craze • 0 Comments

Geometric shapes and tribal motifs are all the rage at the moment (and we can’t get enough of them!). Coming in all sorts of shapes, colours and designs, they can perk up a simple neutral scheme in a flash. We love this range of cushions from Ferm Living, which are 54 euros each. Why not scatter a few on a pale grey sofa to add interest or give your bedroom style by placing a few on your bed with a textured throw. While online check out Ferm Living’s other fab accessories inspired by geometric shapes and tribal designs.
