Holly Willoughby's latest range for BHS

Holly Willoughby’s latest range for BHS

We absolutely love the new range from BHS designed exclusively by Holly Willoughby. It’s stunning and completely encompasses everything we love about Holly. It has a gorgeous feminine French countryside style with a modern, industrial twist all wrapped up in a delicate pastel colour palette. It’s beautiful and will look great with a wide range of decor and colour schemes. The range includes accessories for bedroom, bathroom, living and more, with prices starting from as little as £5. Style at Home’s editor, Lizzie, loves the glass bell jar (£25), which she thinks will look great on her dressing table with a trio of pretty perfume bottles inside. Head to BHS to see more of the beautiful collection.

    2nd story Rowdy-Roddy

Fall in love with these exquisitely illustrated fabric wall stickers and use them to create a magical story-book feel in your child’s bedroom. The delicate, fluid watercolours have a fascinating, old-fashioned charm and the stickers are easy to apply – just peel and stick! They are matt in texture, removable and reusable, and won’t leave marks on your wall – we wouldn’t want to leave these adorable creatures behind…

Wall stickers by Chocovenyl, from £12 to £60, Rowdy Roddy Vintage

    Meet the team

    by  • April 14, 2015 • Heroes • 0 Comments

Team-intro-picAs you may have noticed, from the April issue of Style at Home, your favourite magazine has a new editor. I’m Lizzie and I joined the team back in December to cover Jennifer’s maternity leave. I’m absolutely thrilled to be here and I really hope you’ve enjoyed my first couple of issues. May is now on sale, so be sure to pick up at copy for £1.99, or why not subscribe so you never miss an issue!

I thought now would be a great time to say hello and to introduce myself and the rest of the team bringing you all the latest interior trends, buys and inspiration. We’re a bunch of dedicated ladies that love home making and, of course, sharing our passions with you.

Meet Laurie, our homes editor, who scours the country for the very best real-life homes. Our deputy homes editor, Cassie, is a dab hand at crafting; you’ll find her in our craft room sewing cushions, painting ceramics, and so much more. Jo is our art director and the amazing talent behind the beautiful way Style at Home looks. Together with our fantastic art editor, Alison, they design all the pages that we fill with expert advice, decorating ideas, homes tours and more.

Our chief sub editor, Catherine, is our organising guru and does a fantastic job overseeing production, whilst also keeping the books and budgets in order as our managing editor. Emily is our deputy chief sub editor, who not only keeps our pages in check, but also oversees our Stylists at Home club. Don’t forget, if you want to become part of the team let Emily know by signing up free here – you could end up in a future issue of the magazine!

And, last but not least, is Amy, our fabulous sub editor/food editor, who not only proofreads all our pages, but also sources the most wonderful array of recipes for everyone to enjoy. Like I said, my team is an incredibly talented bunch, and I’m sure, like me, you’re pleased to have them behind the best interiors magazine, Style at Home.

    Crochet a pretty cushion

    by  • April 1, 2015 • Craft • 0 Comments

Crochet mainWe fell head over heels for this gorgeous crocheted cushion the moment we saw it so thought we’d share the pattern with you. Taken from Nicki Trench’s gorgeous book, Crochet Basics  (£14.99, CICO Books), the cushion is an absolute delight to make. If you’re new to crochet this pattern is perfect for practising your trebles and making embellishments, too.

It’s crocheted in the round and worked in a super chunky, very soft yarn, which crochets up really quickly, too. So you’ll have something to show for your work sooner than you think. Don’t forget to show us your finished cushions – take a snap and share them on our Facebook page – we’d love to see them! Click here to download the free pattern
