    by  • December 23, 2015 • Styling • 0 Comments

    Festive hallway

Want to make an impact on Christmas Day? On day 23 of the Style at Home advent calendar, we’re giving you our top tips to lay a festive table!

    1. Choose a few complementary colours and pick out a table runner, crockery and decorations in those shades for a cohesive look. Finish off your table with a vase filled with decorative twigs.
    2.  Your choice of table linen is a great starting point for getting your scheme just right. Co-ordinate your cloth, runners and napkins as much as possible using a matching or complementary colour palette. Wipeable oilclohts are a good option if there are little ones at the table.
    3. Don’t forget your chairs! Use pretty ribbon to tie on a sprig of foliage for a simple touch, or arrange a cluster of baubles and tie to the back of the chair for a bolder look.
    4. Add a hint of luxury with metallic accessories in gold, silver or copper. Stock up on glam crackers!
    5. Create the ultimate centrepiece, whether it’s a vase of festive flowers or a wreath with tealights in the middle, make your table stand out.
